Under strict statutory regulations, the Treasurer has custody of the County’s funds; controls the flow of money to and from the County and invests money daily for both County funds and funds of various taxing districts; prepares and mails annual tax notices and delinquent tax notices; processes tax lien sale redemptions and issuance of Treasurer’s deeds; manages the operations of the Motor Vehicle Department and Superintendent of Schools.
