45th Annual Governor's Conference on Aging

Cascade County Aging Services, "the" Area VIII Agency on Aging, is proud to host the 45th Annual Governor's Conference on Aging May 9 and 10, 2013. This year, the conference will be conducted at the Holiday Inn and is expected to gather over 200 attendees. The Conference theme is "Aging in the Last, Best Place" and will have some four general sessions and at least twelve breakout sessions bringing forth items of interest to the aging community and the partners that help meet their needs. This event is sponsored by the Governor's Council on Aging and Montana Area Agencies on Aging.

Winter Trails Day

Learn to snowshoe and cross-country ski during Winter Trails Day at the Silver Crest Winter Trails Area. This is a free event which takes place Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Registration opens in December for the guided snowshoe hikes and cross-country ski tours. Watch for details on the Get Fit Great Falls Facebook page.

National Trails Day 2012

Hike or bike on National Trails Day, Saturday, June 2, 2012! Choose from nine (9) guided hikes or two (2) bike rides. Hikes go rain or shine, so dress for conditions. Sports equipment booths will open at 8:30 a.m. and remain open until noon—check out canoes, bikes, camping/hiking gear, visit outdoor gear specialists, learn about hikes in our area, get your blood pressure checked, FREE GORP and sunscreen until supplies run out! The Peak will lead a warm-up at 8:45 a.m. and first hikes depart at 9:00 a.m. Pre-registration is required. Call 791-7700. For more information, please visit the Get Fit Great Falls website.
